Who is Present Pal for?

Present Pal is designed for students with disabilities such as dyslexia, anxiety, ADHD, or autism, but it can support anyone who finds public speaking challenging.

How does Present Pal support students with anxiety or communication difficulties?

Present Pal reduces cognitive overload by displaying easy-to-follow, personalised prompts on-screen. This helps users stay calm, stay on track, and manage nerves during presentations.

Is Present Pal available through Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)?

Yes, Present Pal is available for free to eligible UK students through the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). You can discuss it with your Needs Assessor during your assessment.

Can I use Present Pal during in-person and online presentations?

Yes. Present Pal can be used for both in-person and online presentations. It’s compatible with popular platforms like Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.

Does Present Pal work on my device?

Present Pal works on both iOS and Android, and is available on smartphones and tablets. You can also connect your Present Pal app to Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides using the Present Pal integration.

What makes Present Pal different from cue cards or notes?

Unlike paper cue cards, Present Pal is interactive, accessible, and designed with cognitive accessibility in mind. It helps you stay organised, reduce anxiety, and maintain eye contact with your audience.

How do I get started with Present Pal?

If you're a UK student, you can ask your DSA Needs Assessor about Present Pal. If you're already approved, you’ll receive setup instructions from your assistive technology trainer or directly from the Present Pal team.
